Airports and Seaports
Airports: Applied Environmental has completed projects within airport and air traffic control facilities, both as the prime contractor and as a subcontractor, throughout the US, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Guam. We offer a staff of Air Operations Area (ACA) cleared personnel and AOA-approved vehicles. Applied Environmental personnel are cleared to work within Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA) within airport facilities, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control towers (ATCT), and air route traffic control centers (ARTCC) nationwide. As a result, our firm offers a working knowledge of the highly critical security and operational aspects of airport facilities and control centers.
For the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, we have provided fast-response jet fuel spill sampling, comprehensive hazardous materials surveys, indoor air quality assessments, and long-term environmental sampling. As a subcontractor to the FAA, we have worked as the team lead for the Environmental, Energy, and Safety Division (AFZ-800) in the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) program
Seaports: SeaPort-e Is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, Military Sealift Command, and the United States Marine Corps compete their service requirements amongst 2400-SeaPort-e IDIQ multiple award contract holders. The Sea Port-e portal provides a standardized, efficient means of soliciting offers from amongst the diverse population of large and small businesses and their approved team members. All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded, and managed using the SeaPort-e platform. Since nearly 85% of its contract-holders are small businesses, the Sea Port-e approach to acquiring services provides opportunity that fuels the Nation’s engine of job growth.
